Principal's Message

Hello Panther Families,

My name is Idali Lopez and I am the proud principal of Palm Innovation Academy. As a BUSD mom, I am humbled to be the principal of our great school. I have four kids who attend Beaumont Unified schools. I am also a resident of Beaumont who values our small-town, family-oriented community. In addition to my four kids, my husband and I were fortunate to add a Dalmatian to our family last summer. As a family, we enjoy movie nights at home and supporting our kids on the soccer field, cross country and track meets.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State LA and a Multiple Subject Credential with a Master of Arts from the University of Phoenix. I also have an Administrative Credential with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Concordia. I have been in the education field for more than nineteen years. I was an elementary school teacher, and a middle school Assistant Principal. I was also an elementary and a high school Program Specialist. As a Program Specialist, I focused on student achievement and providing teachers with professional development.

At Palm our vision  is to provide opportunities for ALL students to persevere and thrive toward achieving lifelong goals and contributing to a global community. We are World Ambassadors who are caring citizens, solution seekers, and innovative leaders. Panthers use teamwork to make our school a positive place to learn and grow.

As we near the beginning  of the school year, please mark your calendars for a few key dates:

Also, if you have not done so already, please fill out the Back-to-School Data Confirmations in the Aeries Parent Portal. You will have the opportunity to review and confirm all your student's information, enter any missing information, and read the updated annual parents' rights and responsibilities for the 2023-2024 school year. Here is a link to assist with Aeries

Furthermore, this year we are proud to announce that we have two additional First Grade classes to our  Dual Language Immersion program. As the students grow, the program will continue to grow.

This year we will also be offering Second Chance Breakfast to the students who did not have an opportunity to eat during the before-school breakfast program. As a reminder, students may only eat one breakfast at school. They can either eat breakfast before school or during their morning recess. This will ensure that every student has an opportunity to eat breakfast daily.

This school year there will be some changes with our pick up and drop off location. TK-5th grade students will now enter the doors/gates on Palm Avenue, in the front of the school building. Early Childhood will enter through the small gate on 8th Street.

At dismissal, TK and Kindergarten students will be picked up from their classrooms. Parents may enter through the Palm Avenue gates. 1st and 2nd graders will be picked up from the inside of the gate on the grassy area next to the front office. 3rd-5th graders will wait in the grassy area outside of the gates. As a result of these changes, no access will be made available through the 8th street gates.

More information will follow in the coming weeks, please monitor your Parent Square frequently.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 951 845-9579. I look forward to meeting all of the families and students. Go Panthers! A Panther Today, a Leader Tomorrow!

Have a great day,

Idali Lopez
