Palm Elementary is excited to have the Accelerated Reader Program at our school.

What is Accelerated Reader?

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a computerized reading program used to encourage students to read

while testing their reading comprehension. Students that reach their goal are rewarded. Students earn

points by reading and taking the AR test.

Rewards are usually parties such as popcorn and a movie, ice cream sundae party, or pizza and games.

Students that meet their goal weekly get to visit the school's AR store to choose a small toy(vary based on the percent of AR goal met).

AR test can only be taken at school.

How can I find out how many points my child has?

Log in to Home Connect at

using your child's username and password. Home Connect allows you to see which books your child has tested

on, their points, and progress towards their AR goal!
